Alissa Guzman

Graduating with a B.F.A. in photography from The Art Institute of Chicago, and a M.F.A. in fiber art from Virginia Commonwealth University, Alissa Guzman is currently a visual artist living, working, and showing in N.Y.C. She draws from a mixed media background to create photographic works of sometimes-ambiguous materiality, and endeavors to stretch and mangle the boundaries of the photographic image. From the west coast of sunny California she has lived across — Chicago, Virginia, New York — looking for “truths” about Americans, and their country’s way of life. alissaguzman@gmail.com
